Woman of the year LLS

Congratulations are in order for Deb Zindler - The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Woman of the Year! It may be her smiling face on a downtown billboard (look for her), but it took a Team Z2 effort-with a little help from our friends-to put her over the top with a multi-faceted fund raising effort titled “This Time Tomorrow.” We managed to raise more than $26,000 for LLS so far, but we're not done yet. You can still contribute to the cause by downloading “This Time Tomorrow” on iTunes or at the project’s website, ThisTimeTomorrow.org.

To support Deb’s candidacy for LLS Woman of the Year, Cory Zimmermann and more than 40 local musicians helped re-record and celebrate "This Time Tomorrow." The song is available for download on iTunes or at the project’s website, ThisTimeTomorrow.org.

TTT Wins Seven National Telly Awards

To support TTT, Z2 filmed a music video featuring several of the song’s featured musicians, behind-the-scenes footage and clips from the song’s original video. We were pretty proud of how it turned out and The Telly Awards agreed as TTT won in seven separate categories. Since 1978, The Telly Awards have honored the very best in local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions, and work created for the Web. While we certainly enjoy the credit, we would be remiss if we didn’t acknowledge the secret weapon: our very own RED ONE Digital Cinema Camera, which makes everything look amazing. Did you know it’s what they used to shoot District 9?

Kevin Deval has joined the Z2 team as an art director and comes to us with tons of experience working on B2B and B2C accounts. Formerly of BVK and most recently Norman Design, Kevin is a jack-of-all trades when it comes to his work - a hands-on creative that sees projects from conception to production. Sounds like our kinda guy.

Welcome April

Z2’s newest public relations account executive April Dart comes to us from Bader Rutter & Associates, bringing five years of PR experience along with her. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Dart has worked with a wide variety of clients in a number of industries. Good thing, because Z2 currently has a wide variety of clients in a number of industries.

Welcome Lyra

Z2’s newest hire is one that should look familiar to those in the Milwaukee viewing area. Lyra O’Brien, formerly an on-camera reporter/meteorologist for WISN TV, has joined our team as a Public Relations Account Executive bringing more than 10 years of media and marketing experience. The move is a big change for Lyra - fewer 2am alarm clocks, jeans at work and the occasional Cosmo Friday. We haven’t heard her complain yet.
